The project aims to preserve these cherished gathering places for those who have served our country.
By restoring these halls and posts, we create welcoming and functional spaces for veterans, and their communities.
These spaces are the living legacies of our nation’s veterans.
Here, stories of sacrifice and camaraderie are not just remembered but celebrated.
OUR STORY
While walking through town, Valerie Griggs, a seasoned branding expert and designer with over 30 years of experience in commercial and restaurant design, noticed a banner that read: “Save Our Legion.” Intrigued, she stepped inside and was immediately welcomed into the space.
As she took in the history and character of the post, Valerie recognized not only its deep-rooted significance but also its incredible potential which sparked her interest. This moment sparked a vision—one that would blend preservation with transformation, ensuring that these historic spaces continue to serve as thriving community hubs for veterans.
This vision that inspired her led to the launch of Operation Restorations, a mission-driven initiative dedicated to revitalizing American Legion posts across the country.

We start with a thorough assessment of a facitlity to identifying their specific conditions and needs. We collaborate closely with local communities to understand the unique challenges each post faces, ensuring that our tailored solutions not only revive these vital community hubs but also preserve their unique character and rich history.
RENOVATING & RESTORING
Armed with a deep understanding of the American Legion's history and the needs of its members, the Operation Restorations team will meticulously renovate and restore these spaces. From modernizing facilities to preserving cherished historical elements, no detail will be overlooked in the pursuit of creating vibrant, welcoming environments for veterans and their families.
UNVEILING CELEBRATIONS
As each facility is revitalized, Operation Restorations will host grand unveiling celebrations to showcase the transformation and honor the veterans who call these spaces home. These events will feature celebrity guests, culinary experiences, and musical performances, all coming together to express our nation's gratitude for the sacrifices of our service members.
